Dante Tamburro joins Financeit as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer

Financeit, one of North America’s fastest growing point-of-sale financing providers, today announced the hire of Dante Tamburro as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO).

Dante, an industry veteran, joins Financeit after spending 15 years at Tangerine Bank where he held various positions across his tenure, including Vice President, General Counsel, CAMLO and Chief Compliance Officer. As CCO, Dante managed and supervised the Compliance and AML functions for the bank and its subsidiaries, and as General Counsel, Tamburro provided strategic support to the Executive Team in relation to all material initiatives. In 2012, Tamburro acted as a lead in the sale of ING Direct (now known as Tangerine).

This announcement arrives on the heels of a substantial investment from long-time partner Goldman Sachs resulting in a majority ownership position. The investment has allowed the acquisition of leading home improvement software company, Centah Inc. and supports the company’s geographic expansion plans. Tamburro’s experience in compliance and legal counsel will be central to helping Financeit prepare for the upcoming milestones.

“Dante’s expertise in legal and compliance will be an invaluable asset to our team as our company continues to expand,” says Michael Garrity, Founder and CEO, Financeit. “We have ambitious goals this year and Dante will play an integral role in our achieving them.”
